Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop system engineering plans/processes and the development of system definitions, technical requirements, and system architectures.
  • •Manage technical requirements using appropriate techniques and tools (e.g., DOORS, ComplyPro) and deliver systems engineering processes to support customer requirements.
  • •Evaluate interrelationships between system requirements and system design/development requirements; develop scope of works and work packages and serve as senior technical resource.
  • •Provide specialized technical input to studies and design within the area of expertise; develop study and design procedures to enable high-quality, cost-effective work by others.
  • •Participate in multidisciplinary review of deliverables; develop cost estimates and technical effort estimates; perform quality control on design calculations/drawings; prepare technical specification sections and contribute to budget/schedule planning.

Key Requirements

  • •Engineering degree or equivalent.
  • •Chartered Engineer.
  • •Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • •Experience of railway systems safety and assurance, including system safety and interoperability.
  • •Knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation and regulations.
