Key Responsibilities

  • •Carry out a wide range of mechanical engineering tasks including planned maintenance of assets, repairs to assets, installations, and plant improvements
  • •Work to comply with Risk Management Standards (H&S, statutory regulations) and fully comply with all legal requirements
  • •Work on a non-continuous shift pattern with flexibility to cover out of hours breakdowns
  • •Ensure the day-to-day running of all mechanical assets
  • •Update records using the computerized maintenance system

Key Requirements

  • •Inter-Provincial Journeyman’s certificate in the Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) trade, with current registration with the Manitoba Department of Labour
  • •Proven mechanical aptitude and ability to perform maintenance activities required by the position
  • •Innovative, dependable, safety oriented with a proven attendance record
  • •Capable of working with minimal supervision and able to work alone when necessary
  • •Experience in all aspects of the Industrial Mechanic trade is an asset
