Key Responsibilities

  • •Act as ASOS’s independent Data Protection Officer, ensuring compliance with UK, EU and global privacy requirements.
  • •Provide strategic, commercial privacy and compliance advice that enables business growth while managing risk.
  • •Lead the development and delivery of global privacy and compliance frameworks, policies and governance programmes.
  • •Oversee regulatory engagement, audits, investigations and compliance reporting to senior leadership, the Audit Committee and the Board.
  • •Lead responses to significant privacy incidents, data breaches and regulatory matters, including privacy-by-design across products and technology.

  • •Significant experience leading privacy and data protection programmes within a complex, global organisation.
  • •Deep expertise in privacy legislation and regulatory requirements, including experience acting as a privacy subject matter expert.
  • •Proven ability to translate complex legal and technical concepts into practical, commercial advice.
  • •Experience engaging with regulators and leading responses to investigations, enquiries and remediation programmes.
