Key Responsibilities

  • •Analyze existing tooling designs using CAD tools and implement improvements for efficiency and performance
  • •Develop and test prototypes for new tooling and fixture designs
  • •Collaborate with manufacturing plants to understand challenges and resolve technical issues
  • •Execute engineering change orders (ECOs) and design updates as required
  • •Design work holding fixtures and tooling solutions for various welding technologies with optimized inputs
  • •Support new product development (NPD) by contributing to design and development of components and assemblies
  • •Create 3D models, 2D drawings, and build detailed assembly documentation for tooling designs
  • •Upgrade legacy drawings and models to current CAD platforms and standards
  • •Ensure timely completion of projects while meeting both defined and evolving requirements
  • •Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) in ERP systems such as Oracle
  • •Adhere to organizational quality systems and engineering standards
  • •Take ownership of additional responsibilities aligned with business needs

Key Requirements

  • •Proven experience with CAD tools to analyze and improve tooling designs
  • •Ability to develop and test prototypes for tooling and fixture designs
  • •Experience collaborating with manufacturing plants to resolve technical issues
  • •Experience executing engineering change orders (ECOs) and design updates
  • •Proficiency in creating 3D models, 2D drawings, and detailed assembly documentation for tooling designs
