Key Responsibilities

  • •Receive repair orders from the dispatcher, perform work as outlined, and document work performed.
  • •Diagnose malfunctions, determine additional safety/service needs, and notify the service advisor if additional work isn’t needed or cannot be completed on time.
  • •Communicate with the parts department to obtain required parts and save/tag parts for warranty or customer requests.
  • •Road-test vehicles when required or refer to the test technician, ensuring the customer vehicle isn’t used for personal errands.
  • •Supervise apprentice technicians as assigned, attend factory training classes, keep shop area/tools accounted for, and follow safety and hazardous waste disposal regulations.
