Job Summary

Serve as the focal point for EMP and TEMPEST engineering activities, supporting bids, requirements allocation, and system design through the full development lifecycle. Prepare and review TEMPEST control plans, test procedures, reports, and EMP environments, and generate E3 integration/analysis outputs. Conduct and lead day-to-day EMP/TEMPEST testing, operate lab equipment, validate test setups, and analyze radiated and conducted electromagnetic compliance while mentoring junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide design-support activities for EMP and TEMPEST disciplines for products and subsystems, including supporting programs during bid phases and system design/development.
•Contribute to engineering program pursuits and bid estimates, and develop EMP-compliant designs to achieve compliance with applicable EMP tests and standards.
•Prepare and review TEMPEST control plans, test procedures, and test reports, and prepare and review EMP environments for nuclear survivability design analysis reports.
•Develop and review repeatable test procedures and physical test setups using appropriate test equipment and data-recording methods based on applicable military/commercial standards.
•Conduct and lead day-to-day EMP and TEMPEST testing activities, generate/review test data, apply electromagnetic principles for compliance verification and problem-solving, and mentor junior EMP and TEMPEST engineers.

Key Requirements

•U.S. citizenship only (dual citizenship not permitted) is required.
•Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Top Secret security clearance (Active clearance required after day 1).
•Typically requires a STEM degree and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years experience.
•Active TEMPEST testing experience within the last 2 years, including experience submitting TEMPEST reports for approval.
•Valid CTP-II certification and a minimum of 8 years EMI/EMC experience with MIL-STD-461 D/E/F/G (or DO-160) plus 2 years TEMPEST testing experience.
