Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide strategic leadership across a portfolio of complex mine water, hydrology, and water resources projects.
  • •Act as a recognised technical authority and provide expert advice on mine water management and related engineering challenges.
  • •Lead development and review of conceptual site models, water balance assessments, flood risk assessments, hydraulic/hydrological studies, and water management strategies.
  • •Direct multi-disciplinary teams across feasibility, environmental assessments, permitting, detailed design, and operational support.
  • •Lead bids, tenders, and major proposals and take responsibility for governance, including commercial performance, risk management, and resource/programme delivery.

Key Requirements

  • •Significant experience in mine water management, hydrology, water resources, or water engineering, ideally from mining, infrastructure, or environmental consultancy.
  • •Proven ability to lead complex technical projects and multidisciplinary teams across multiple jurisdictions and project phases.
  • •Strong knowledge of water management infrastructure, hydrological and hydraulic assessment, flood risk management, water balance modelling, and water resources planning.
  • •Experience supporting major mining projects across feasibility studies, environmental impact assessments, permitting, design development, and operational support.
  • •Demonstrable leadership capability, including mentoring technical specialists, developing high-performing teams, and supporting business growth; chartered status is preferred.
