Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws and all safety regulations.
  • •Transport loads safely and timely along required routes, obeying traffic laws.
  • •Coordinate loading and unloading by maneuvering truck/trailer into loading areas and following loading crew signals.
  • •Maintain required delivery paperwork (invoices, shipping bills of lading) and deliver documentation when routes are complete.
  • •Perform routine service checks (e.g., oil, water, gasoline, air) and report maintenance malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a commercial driver’s license (Class A CDL) or the appropriate chauffeur’s license for the vehicle weight.
  • •Pass required background and drug testing and complete a DOT physical (trucks driven are over 10k lbs).
  • •Be at least 21 years old to operate a company vehicle.
  • •Have strong interpersonal and customer service skills to speak professionally at delivery points.
  • •Be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds and handle prolonged periods sitting in a trailer cab.
