Key Responsibilities

  • •Support delivery of CDM Principal Designer duties across projects and programmes.
  • •Develop and own design risk management strategies, including leading design risk workshops and project reviews.
  • •Provide authoritative advice on CDM duties and compliance, and oversee production/quality of PCI, risk registers/hazard logs, and HSF.
  • •Lead workplace & operational safety advisory services across operational estates, including audits, inspections, assurance, and risk assessments.
  • •Influence delivery teams to drive proportionate risk management and drive improvements in safety culture and performance.

Key Requirements

  • •8–12 years of experience in health and safety.
  • •Experience in construction safety/CDM advisory and workplace or operational health & safety (e.g., audits, compliance, FM environments).
  • •Experience in hazardous materials management, such as asbestos.
  • •Strong technical knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015 and wider UK H&S legislation (preferable).
  • •Degree (or equivalent) in construction, engineering, health & safety (or HNC/HND with relevant experience); NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate and/or membership of a relevant professional body (preferable).
