Job Summary

Join WSP’s Surveying Services (UK) team working mainly on Scotland-based projects. You’ll be based in Edinburgh or Glasgow, managing your own projects and carrying out below-ground utility and drainage surveys with electromagnetic and GPR techniques. Ensure quality assurance against site and office standards, process fieldwork into 2D/3D CAD drawings and reports, use total stations and GNSS, and mentor junior team members while driving technical excellence through CPD.

Key Responsibilities

•Manage your own surveying projects for Scotland-based clients.
•Carry out below-ground utility and drainage surveys using electromagnetic and GPR techniques.
•Ensure quality assurance by checking that standards are followed on site and in the office.
•Produce 2D and 3D CAD drawings and other survey reports, including post-processing GPR data.
•Mentor junior team members and contribute to technical excellence and innovation across the survey team.

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•QCF Level 3 and Level 5 in Utility Mapping and Surveying, or an equivalent HND/specialist engineering qualification (or suitable proven experience).
•Proven fieldwork experience for below-ground utility and drainage surveys using Electromagnetic and GPR techniques.
•Experience working to PAS128 standards, collecting and post-processing GPR data.
•Process fieldwork into 2D and 3D CAD drawings and other survey reports.
•Experience using total stations and GNSS; ability to communicate clearly and operate effectively in all weather (or at night).
