Operating Engineer (Detroit, MI, US)

Operate and maintain a large-scale central chilled water plant that provides comfort cooling for the Renaissance Center complex. You’ll run and monitor high-pressure centrifugal chillers, free-cooling heat exchangers, and river-water condenser systems with pumps and traveling screens. The role also includes monitoring steam and electrical substations, performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting, completing work orders, and conducting daily rounds to track system performance and water chemistry.
