Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide infection control consultation and expert advice across professional staff, clinical care, and support services.
  • •Lead implementation of evidence-based infection prevention and control strategies to improve patient outcomes.
  • •Design and run surveillance systems, analyze surveillance data, and recommend actions to reduce or eliminate infectious risks.
  • •Conduct outbreak investigations and perform contact tracing for exposure to communicable diseases.
  • •Represent the infection prevention and control team externally, develop/review policies with leadership support, and ensure compliance with local infection control standards.

Key Requirements

  • •RN/RM with a Bachelor’s degree in nursing or midwifery (or equivalent).
  • •HAAD licence in Nursing or Midwifery.
  • •5+ years postgraduate experience in an acute care hospital.
  • •2+ years’ experience in the infection prevention & control field.
  • •Master’s degree preferred; Certified in Infection Control (CIC) preferred and must maintain certification status.
