Key Responsibilities

  • •Own and document cloud data architecture across a multi-cloud environment with a primary focus on Azure and Azure Databricks.
  • •Lead data architecture modernization efforts, including migration strategy, data modeling, and platform engineering.
  • •Design and implement governance, security, and compliance strategies for a platform handling sensitive Veteran PII and PHI.
  • •Enable data science and AI/ML capabilities, including model deployment infrastructure and data pipelines.
  • •Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and VA stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and consumable data products.

Salary: USD 170,000 - 200,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Proven experience designing and managing enterprise cloud data architectures in Azure.
  • •Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks for data engineering, analytics, and AI/ML workloads.
  • •Experience with Power BI or similar visualization platforms.
  • •Strong background in data governance, security, compliance, and federal data standards including FISMA and NIST 800-53.
  • •Experience with large-scale data migration and architecture modernization, including ability to produce clear technical documentation.
