Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as a Senior Manager on the store leadership team, providing strategic leadership across Service Operations (reconditioning, cosmetic, production, automotive service).
  • •Directly and indirectly lead multiple managers and a large frontline workforce, including staffing, performance management, development plans, succession planning, and engagement.
  • •Own operational execution by overseeing key performance metrics (KPMs), production capacity, quality, cycle time, and cost controls using data and trends.
  • •Maintain full financial accountability, including P&L ownership, expense management, labor optimization, and productivity targets aligned to business plans.
  • •Ensure EH&S responsibilities for the department/location, including self-inspections, hazardous waste disposal, workplace safety, and PPE.

Key Requirements

  • •3+ years of management experience (retail management preferred).
  • •Complete CarMax-provided training in Inventory, Cosmetic, and Production processes.

  • •Proven ability to lead leaders, manage complex operations, and balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • •Willingness to work flexible schedules (including nights/weekends/holidays/12-hour shifts), work multiple locations, and relocate.
