Key Responsibilities

  • •Follow company and site safety rules, including behavior-based safety essentials and Life Saving Rules.
  • •Read and interpret drawings and specifications to determine insulation requirements and select insulation type, amount, and securing method.
  • •Measure, cut, and fit insulating materials and coverings to required shapes and dimensions.
  • •Install vapor barriers and finish insulated surfaces with metal cladding; install cladding/jacketing and finishes on insulated mechanical ducting.
  • •Coordinate with other trades and perform insulation preparation, execution, and other duties as required.

Key Requirements

  • •Journeyperson Trade Certification is required.
  • •Must be able to safely lift and carry up to 50 lbs and meet strength and stamina requirements for physical labor.
  • •Must pass a site-specific drug and alcohol test, and be able to work safely in confined spaces and at heights using proper fall arrest procedures.
  • •Must be able to work 12-hour shifts consistently in varying temperature extremes and conditions, including frequent walking, climbing, standing, bending, twisting, and crawling.
  • •Must read and interpret drawings/specifications and communicate effectively in English (verbal and written).
