Key Responsibilities

  • •Partner with the VP of Engineering and cross-functional peers to define and evolve platform strategy.
  • •Set architectural strategy and technical standards/guardrails for Kubernetes-based clusters and broader hybrid infrastructure.
  • •Lead and develop the Platform Engineering team, including hiring, expectations, and enabling performance.
  • •Own the scientific compute platform, ensuring reliable and efficient support for ML/data science needs.
  • •Drive CI/CD maturity, internal services, developer tooling, observability, disaster recovery/failover, and platform security controls including IAM, secrets management, network policy, and vulnerability management.

Key Requirements

  • •Significant experience in platform, infrastructure, or DevOps engineering building and operating complex production environments.
  • •Experience leading engineers with accountability for workstreams from strategy through delivery, including mentorship and ownership of live systems.
  • •Hands-on operational experience, including participating in on-call rotations and leading incident response with post-incident prevention changes.
  • •Deep expertise in Kubernetes, with experience operating hybrid on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
  • •Experience building or evolving MLOps infrastructure, including notebook environments such as Kubeflow and GPU compute for distributed training and model serving.
