Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform GTAW class A TIG welding; cut, trim, fit, and fabricate metal components to required dimensions.
  • •Collaborate with lead welder to ensure weld procedure, material, and rod size are correctly assessed for each project.
  • •Analyze engineering drawings and specifications to plan welding operations when procedural information is not available.
  • •Continuously improve operations and streamline work processes while working cooperatively with engineering, planners, and supervisors.
  • •Weld, repair, assemble, and install launch vehicle structures; verify work per drawings and handle hazardous materials per approved procedures.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • •1+ years of TIG welding experience in a manufacturing environment, or completion of a welding certificate from an accredited program within the last two years.
  • •Role requires passing a weld test per AWS D17.1.
  • •Must be available for all shifts, overtime, and weekends as schedule varies.
  • •Ability to meet physical and safety requirements including working at elevation (up to 200 feet), in confined spaces, and using an air purifying respirator.
