Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle according to state and federal transportation laws and observe safety regulations.
  • •Transport loads safely and on schedule along required routes, obeying all traffic laws.
  • •Position truck and trailer for loading/unloading and follow loading crew signals; assist with loading and unloading using specialized equipment as needed.
  • •Maintain delivery documentation such as invoices and bills of lading and deliver paperwork to the shipping office when complete.
  • •Perform routine service checks on trucks (e.g., oil, water, gasoline, air), report maintenance issues, and arrange trailers for optimal yard loading.

Key Requirements

  • •Must hold a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) appropriate for the vehicle weight operated.
  • •Pass background and required drug testing (including a 10-panel drug screen) and be able to pass a DOT physical.
  • •Must be at least 21 years old to operate a company vehicle.
  • •Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with professional, courteous communication at delivery points.
  • •Must be able to sit for long periods in a trailer cab, lift/move up to 40 pounds, and travel frequently.
