Key Responsibilities

  • •Generate and manage construction cost estimates, including valuations, budgets, and studies for projects and potential projects across all scopes and assemblies.
  • •Develop schematic cost model estimates using historic benchmarking and industry experience for forecasting.
  • •Review tender documentation to identify ambiguities, risks, and key issues for the tender team.
  • •Prepare consistent tender data for profitable bidding, including man hours, equipment, subcontractor and material cost estimates, and explain cost variances.
  • •Support quantity take-offs (manual and digital), conduct site inspections, coordinate scope changes with the client, and liaise with the engineering team for design-and-construct tender inputs and temporary works support.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years working experience with 5 years relevant estimating experience in construction projects.
  • •Experience producing detailed cost estimates using cost estimating packages such as CCS (Candy) (distinct advantage).
  • •Strong ability to analyze tender documentation, drawings, and specifications to identify ambiguities, risks, and key issues.
  • •Proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, and QS-related software, plus web search/internet for supporting data.
  • •ERP knowledge, preferably SAP functional skills, to support successful estimation and estimation submissions.
