Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide dental services to patients including emergency treatments, examinations, preventative care, restorations, minor oral surgery, x-rays, extractions, root canal treatments and prosthodontics planning/management.
  • •Collaborate with the senior dental officer, medical officers, nursing officers and specialist dental providers to deliver comprehensive care.
  • •Promote and maintain good oral health of Defence personnel in line with Defence policies and procedures to ensure dentally fit personnel for deployment.
  • •Liaise with clinic staff to coordinate patient care and ensure timely treatment.
  • •Work 1 day per week (Wednesdays) in a part-time capacity at the Albatross Health Centre.

Key Requirements

  • •Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Dentist, General with AHPRA.
  • •Minimum 2 years full-time post-graduate clinical chair-side experience within the last 5 years (or part-time equivalent).
  • •Recent participation in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA.
  • •Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.
  • •High levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.
