Hands-on Network Engineer in Fluidstack’s Deployment & Integration team responsible for turning AI datacenter designs into production networks. You’ll deploy and validate datacenter fabrics, coordinate with cross-functional teams, manage hardware lifecycle, document deployments, and support operations. This role offers field deployment leadership exposure with upward growth as the organization scales.

Key Responsibilities

•Deployment Execution: Deploy and validate datacenter network infrastructure including front-end fabric, back-end fabric, BMS, and management networks. Configure switches, install and validate optics, coordinate fiber/cabling work, and drive deployments through completion.
•Physical Layer Validation: Ensure physical connectivity meets production standards. Coordinate with structured cabling teams on fiber remediation, validate insertion loss and OTDR traces, troubleshoot optical layer issues, and document physical infrastructure as-builts.
•Hardware Lifecycle Management: Manage hardware logistics including device staging, rack/stack coordination, RMA processes, and DCIM updates. Track hardware inventory, coordinate vendor shipments, and ensure devices are ready when deployments need them.
•Cross-Functional Coordination: Partner with DC Operations (rack/stack, power, cabling), ICT teams (fiber validation), Hardware teams (logistics), and Network Engineering (config validation) to drive deployments forward.
•Documentation & Process Improvement: Maintain accurate documentation of deployment activities including cutsheets, as-builts, validation results, and lessons learned. Identify gaps in deployment procedures and propose improvements.

Travel: High travel

•Datacenter networking foundation with 3-7 years of hands-on datacenter experience; knowledge of modern fabrics (EVPN/VXLAN, BGP, CLOS) and production network configuration.
•Hands-on execution mindset, comfortable in field environments, able to pull cable and configure switches.
•Strong troubleshooting skills across physical and logical layers; ability to read OTDR traces and validate insertion loss.
•Excellent coordination and communication across technical and non-technical teams; documented work and follow-through.
•Travel ready with the ability to travel 70-80% to onsite deployments.
