Key Responsibilities

  • •Implement a comprehensive school counseling program to support academic success, social-emotional development, and career/college planning.
  • •Help students plan postsecondary options, manage emotions, and apply interpersonal skills through regular counseling meetings.
  • •Deliver classroom instruction aligned to student success standards and support standardized testing, parent education, and staff development.
  • •Review transcripts and academic documentation, develop four-year graduation plans with teaching staff, and audit schedules for graduation readiness.
  • •Analyze student data to create intervention action plans and provide short-term counseling/referrals, including advocacy at IEP and other student-focused meetings as directed.
Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree AND three (3) years of experience in counseling and/or advisement.
  • •School Counselor License (North Carolina certification required; endorsement: School Counselor).
  • •Ability to clear required background check.
  • •Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, web-based search engines, and database systems.
  • •Master’s degree in school counseling and advanced coursework in counseling and administration.
