Key Responsibilities

  • •Assemble, fit and mount sub-assemblies, components, and fixed assemblies in motor control centers, enclosed control assemblies, and related equipment.
  • •Assemble and wire units, relay panels, panel boards, control panels, space heaters, and other control components.
  • •Perform assembly required for test preparation and final inspection.
  • •Verify electrical and mechanical integrity using established power checking procedures and equipment.
  • •Stage parts for customer orders and use shop orders and drawings to follow correct assembly procedures.

Key Requirements

  • •Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • •Work from oral or written instructions, prints, inspection reports, manufacturing information sheets, and standard/near-standard wiring diagrams.
  • •Use manufacturing information sheets to determine necessary parts and obtain materials from stock areas.
  • •Read shop orders and drawings to determine assembly procedures, including mounting locations and required clearances.
  • •Assemble and wire control devices, cutting wires to length and making adjustments for alignment and clearances.
