Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and execute the global commodity strategy for Thermal systems, owning commercial success and supply base health.
  • •Lead end-to-end sourcing for strategic components, including supplier identification, RFQs, cost analysis, and negotiating/executing contracts and statements of work.
  • •Serve as primary commercial contact for strategic suppliers, managing relationships, performance, and development timelines and resolving critical issues.
  • •Partner with Engineering and Supplier Quality to identify and qualify suppliers that meet technical, quality, and program timing goals.
  • •Utilize manufacturing-process expertise to build cost models and manage supplier development and parts availability for prototype builds and production ramp; mentor junior team members.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA) preferred.
  • •8–15 years of progressive, hands-on purchasing or supply chain experience with deep expertise in Thermal Management systems (e.g., Battery Cooling, HVAC, FECM, Fluid Transfer Systems).
  • •Proven track record developing commodity strategies and personally leading complex, high-value RFQs and negotiations.
  • •Expert knowledge of component manufacturing processes and sophisticated cost-modeling techniques.
  • •Extensive automotive experience with part launches and serial production, including product development and quality processes (APQP, PPAP).
