Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the design, development, and evolution of Order Management capabilities including orchestration, inventory availability, fulfilment, returns, and post-purchase experiences.
  • •Own OMS technical architecture, engineering standards, and key technology decisions for OMS platforms and integrations.
  • •Design and build scalable, resilient, API-first and event-driven services for omnichannel use cases such as Click & Collect (BOPIS), Ship-from-Store, Endless Aisle, and Delivery Promise.
  • •Integrate OMS with commerce platforms and enterprise systems including ERP, WMS, payments, logistics, and customer service to enable end-to-end order visibility and orchestration.
  • •Champion engineering excellence across code quality, automated testing, secure development practices, observability, performance optimization, and reliability engineering, while mentoring engineers.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years of hands-on experience designing and building Order Management capabilities using Java/Spring Boot or equivalent frameworks.
  • •3+ years of experience leading a technical capability, project or engineering team.
  • •Strong software engineering experience with Java, Spring Boot, and modern microservices architectures for production-grade services.
  • •Deep understanding of the end-to-end order lifecycle (order capture through sourcing, fulfilment, shipment, returns, exchanges, and post-purchase).
  • •Experience with enterprise OMS platforms (e.g., Fluent Commerce, IBM Sterling OMS, Manhattan Associates, Kibo Commerce, or Salesforce OMS) and event-driven architectures using Kafka or similar.
