Job Summary

Lead and develop Dyson's manufacturing engineering team to design and launch advanced production lines for Dyson products. Act as the technical interface with contract manufacturers (CM) and joint design manufacturers (JDM), owning the specification, development and ramp of manufacturing lines to deliver on-time, on-spec, on-cost, and on-quality. Lead equipment validation (IQ/OQ/PQ), optimize processes with DOE/SPC to improve yield, and collaborate globally with internal and external teams, travel to partner sites required.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead and develop a team of Manufacturing Engineers
•Drive CM/JDM execution by serving as the technical lead for CM and JDM partners and owning specification, development and ramp of manufacturing lines
•Tackle complex, novel technical issues directly on the production line with partners
•Lead equipment commissioning and validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) at CM/JDM facilities ensuring processes meet Dyson standards
•Use data and engineering rigor (DOE and SPC) to optimize processes and improve yield within CM/JDM environments

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, industrialization, Electronics, or a related engineering field
•10+ years of experience in designing and launching advanced production lines
•Proven experience as a strong people leader and mentor
•Deep CM/JDM/OEM management experience with track record of developing manufacturing processes with CM/JDM
•Deep, hands-on expertise in IQ/OQ/PQ, DOE and statistical tools (e.g., Minitab)
