Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure technical accuracy of reinsurance settlement reports and collateral valuations for longevity-based products.
  • •Oversee annual cleanse materials, including data changes, premium calculations, and surrender amounts, maintaining technical accuracy.
  • •Design, implement, and validate sophisticated Excel modelling tools and cashflow project models to support onboarding and ongoing materials.
  • •Develop robust processes for the wider team, with continuous improvement, compliance, audit trail, and version control for templates and models.
  • •Work with new business reinsurance to confirm new contracts are operationally viable; mentor the team and lead initiatives to timely project delivery.

Key Requirements

  • •Significant experience in pensions, life insurance, longevity reinsurance, or pension risk transfer environments, with strong technical understanding of Defined Benefit pension schemes and reinsurance operations.
  • •Proven ability to oversee complex financial calculations, settlements, collateral valuations, and reporting with a focus on accuracy, controls, and risk management.
  • •Advanced analytical and modelling capability, including strong Excel skills, with experience developing tools, processes, and controls to improve operational effectiveness.
  • •Experience with reinsurance administration and reporting platforms, supporting onboarding and ongoing operational delivery.
