Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct synthetic and real-user performance testing, evaluate future RUM capabilities, and analyze trends and regressions using performance data.
  • •Investigate front-end and rendering bottlenecks with Chrome DevTools and performance platforms, then document findings and recommend optimization opportunities.
  • •Monitor bot and crawler traffic and rendering usage for SAP.com and SAP.cn; analyze crawler errors, routing rules, robots.txt directives, and user-agent traffic to reduce errors.
  • •Explore AI-assisted performance workflows using generative AI and MCP-enabled tools to streamline testing, diagnostics, reporting, and regression analysis; validate AI findings against data.
  • •Collaborate with product owners, developers, UX teams, analysts, and external partners while maintaining performance documentation, dashboards, and internal knowledge resources.

Key Requirements

  • •Must be currently enrolled, or recently graduated (start date within 6 months of graduation), from a coding academy/bootcamp, apprenticeship, associate, bachelor’s, master’s or JD/PhD program.
  • •Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and how modern websites are delivered and rendered.
  • •Familiarity with browser developer tools (especially Chrome DevTools) and interest in learning web performance analysis.
  • •Awareness of web performance concepts including Core Web Vitals, accessibility, front-end rendering, and asset optimization.
  • •Interest in AI-assisted workflows using large language models and Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations; able to evaluate AI-generated findings against technical data.
