•Lead supplier selection for specific products, leveraging approved supplier lists.
•Collaborate with strategic suppliers to accelerate product development through concept scoping, trade-off analyses, should‑cost models, and joint design development with clear statements of work.
•Drive development and consolidation of a manufacturing BOM, coordinating with Quality and Manufacturing to ramp production with high flexibility.
•Manage CAPEX throughout NPI and oversee cost engineering activities to converge cost curves to product cost and optimize total cost of ownership.
•Conduct value‑stream mapping to optimize supply network lead time and flexibility, and perform BOM risk assessments including alternative sourcing.

Travel: Medium travel

Salary: USD 146,000 - 194,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other technical field.
•5+ years of experience in sourcing engineering, supplier engagement and development, or design of electronics and/or mechanical devices.
•Domain expertise of value/procurement engineering or TCO-related work at the component and product level.
•Ability to travel 10% - 40% of the time, variable based on program needs.
•Ability to relocate, if not already local to be onsite in Costa Mesa, CA.
