Job Summary

Serve as a Resident Engineer for PMCM projects based in the San Francisco Bay Area, greater Sacramento area, or Central Valley. Plan, review, and assign work to field/construction personnel; review construction processes and engineering layouts; and coordinate with client and contractor teams to resolve daily issues and disputes. Oversee materials testing, review inspection reports and project documentation, and attend or lead construction meetings while ensuring ethical decision-making and project safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in an engineering-related field (e.g., Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Construction Technology).
•Minimum 12 years of directly relevant experience, including Resident Engineer or related roles.
•At least 5 years working as a Resident Engineer on Caltrans Highway improvement projects of similar size and complexity.
•Professional Engineer (PE) / Licensed Civil Engineer in the State of California.
•Working knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and materials (e.g., Caltrans), plus ability to read and understand contract documents.
