Key Responsibilities

  • •Identify emerging AI research and techniques worth pursuing and set the technical roadmap for Fivetran AI.
  • •Prototype new ideas quickly and turn them into production-grade shipped features.
  • •Define technical direction across Fivetran AI and collaborating departments, resolving cross-team architectural tradeoffs.
  • •Build and maintain back-end and front-end systems for the Fivetran AI product, including Agents Schema pipelines and the Context Catalog UI.
  • •Own production reliability through on-call, incident response, and SRE work while setting engineering quality, testing, and QA standards.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years of programming experience across Python and/or Java, with ability to work fluidly across back-end and front-end.

  • •Experience with SQL and data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks, or similar).
  • •Deep product and market awareness to judge which emerging techniques are worth building vs hype.
  • •Demonstrated ability to mentor senior and staff engineers and influence technical decisions across departments.
