Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide technical supervision and advisory support onboard OSVs, with a focus on engineering systems, DP, and critical deck/auxiliary equipment.
  • •Support and guide Chief Engineers and technical crew in fault diagnosis, troubleshooting, and corrective maintenance.
  • •Assist with planned and unplanned maintenance interventions, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with PMS.
  • •Conduct vessel condition assessments, report technical gaps, and propose practical cost-effective solutions.
  • •Ensure compliance with Class, Flag, IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL, and client-specific technical requirements; support DP trials, audits, and inspections while coordinating with shore teams.

Key Requirements

  • •Marine Engineering Certificate of Competency (ChEng Unlimited).
  • •Minimum 10 years’ experience in the offshore marine sector, including time onboard DP2/DP3 vessels.
  • •Strong understanding of OSV operations, maintenance planning, and DP systems.
  • •Experience troubleshooting complex technical issues onboard and supporting corrective maintenance.
  • •Experience with PMS systems (e.g., NSE) and familiarity with FMEA, DP trials, and Class/statutory compliance frameworks.
