Job Summary

Install and test AV facilities and equipment, using advanced crimping skills and strong knowledge of hardware AV broadcast and IT networking. Configure star networks, set up virtual studio production, and monitor audio-visual links for devices and outside broadcasts. Diagnose and repair technical faults, implement alternative service methods, and design custom AV circuits and hardware systems. Stay current with emerging technologies and practices while coordinating with product owners and creative directors.

Key Responsibilities

•Install and test new AV facilities and equipment, including advanced crimping on connectors like BNC, Micro BNC, RJ45, and XLR.
•Configure hardware AV broadcast and IT networking, including setting up and maintaining a star network and ensuring device communication.
•Set up and maintain equipment for virtual studio production and monitor audio-visual links between units.
•Analyze, repair, and troubleshoot technical faults across equipment and systems, minimizing service loss with alternative service methods.
•Set up and operate equipment and transmission links during outside broadcasts, and design and install custom audio-visual circuits and hardware systems.

Key Requirements

•Advanced knowledge of photography concepts (aperture, shutter speed, ISO, exposure) and strong camera/production video switcher knowledge.
•Experience with electronic engineering and communication equipment, plus advanced knowledge of operating a video camera.
•Experience with live chroma keying and advanced understanding of SDI infrastructure, including sufficient color vision and hearing.
•Excellent IT and project management skills with the ability to work well in a team.
•Strong fault-finding skills and the ability to solve technical problems creatively, with strong communication and people skills.
