Key Responsibilities

  • •Spot, move, and position empty and loaded trailers between docks and designated yard locations.
  • •Demonstrate strong backing skills in blind-side and tight-space maneuvers while minimizing risk to people, product, and infrastructure.
  • •Ensure trailers are properly aligned, secured, and dock-ready prior to loading or unloading.
  • •Maintain orderly trailer placement to support efficient yard flow and dock utilization, confirming dock status and receiving authorization before moving trailers.
  • •Operate yard switcher tractors safely per PBV policies and OSHA requirements, perform daily inspections, and report mechanical or safety concerns.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED required.
  • •Valid driver’s license required; CDL Class A preferred.
  • •Minimum of six (6) months of verifiable yard switching or tractor-trailer experience.

  • •Basic computer and HMI skills, including ability to interface with warehouse and yard management software.
