Key Responsibilities

  • •Field inspection and oversight of transportation construction projects including bridges, road, traffic signals, signing, ITS and underground facilities
  • •Monitor and record the work and progress of contractors, while tracking material quality and usage using FieldBook, AASHTOWare, and ProjectWise
  • •Verify that traffic control measures are implemented and maintained during construction
  • •Maintain communication between AECOM supervisors and peers, MDOT and local agency personnel, contractor personnel and the general public
  • •Perform NPDES inspections

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of relevant construction inspection experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • •Valid Driver's license, with good driving record
  • •Weekend and night work will be required
  • •Overnight travel within the state may be required
  • •4 years of MDOT or other DOT construction inspection experience (preferred)
