Job Summary

Lead strategic equipment automation projects for the pork industry by translating automation needs into feasible designs, specs, and cost estimates. Coordinate vendor layouts, utility requirements, and installation schedules, while reviewing engineering work products and maintaining detailed documentation. Conduct pre-project studies, develop scopes, solicit and evaluate proposals, and report progress to management. Manage bid packages, contract administration, budgets, and installation monitoring, and provide coaching to support employee development.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop preliminary designs and specifications, conduct feasibility/economic studies, and prepare project cost estimates.
•Coordinate equipment vendors on layouts, utility requirements, and installation schedules; review consultant work products and maintain project documentation.
•Perform pre-project engineering planning and operational reviews, define scope of work, and manage RFPs and proposal evaluations.
•Handle contract administration by reviewing bid packages, preparing project documents (justifications, budget analyses, plans, schedules), and monitoring installations to meet specifications and budgets.
•Drive people management by leading employee development and coaching to improve employee experience.

Travel: Medium travel

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 105,000 - 140,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or related field) plus 5+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent education and experience.
•2+ years of leadership experience, including team development and management.
•Ability to apply sound engineering principles to operational and design issues.
•Knowledge of installation and construction project scheduling.
•Project Management and Contract Administration skills, including national codes and standards interpretation.
