Job Summary

Lead and institutionalize the Bank’s loan syndication function within Treasury. Own the end-to-end syndication distribution strategy, investor relationships, and deal execution—from early origination through allocation, club deals, and underwritten sell-down. Partner with Credit, ALCO, the Pricing Committee, Commercial Banking leadership, and Loan Operations to strengthen risk distribution, protect hold limits, improve portfolio concentration management, and build fee and deal economics reporting.

Key Responsibilities

•Define and own the loan syndication strategy, including underwritten vs. best-efforts postures.
•Build and lead the syndications desk and serve as the primary point of contact for buy-side investors, agent banks, and syndicate participants.
•Engage early in origination to identify syndication-eligible deals; lead market soundings, investor outreach, CIM preparation, allocation strategy, and close coordination.
•Oversee club deals, lead-left syndicated credits, select participations, and manage underwritten exposures and time-bound sell-down requirements.
•Establish governance and risk parameters (target final holds, maximum exposures, escalation triggers) and institutionalize fee tracking, investor allocations, and deal economics reporting.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
•10+ years of progressive experience in loan syndications, capital markets, or leveraged/commercial finance at a bank or financial institution.
•Demonstrated experience leading syndicated transactions as lead arranger, agent, or co-agent.
•Established network of buy-side investors, agent banks, and institutional lenders.
•Deep understanding of credit structuring, hold limits, concentration management, and regulatory frameworks for syndicated lending.
