Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and manage the engineering change request process for assigned groups/product families from initial problem statement through implementation.
  • •Coordinate with engineering functions to launch, release, approve, and implement engineering change requests supporting design and operations for new and existing products.
  • •Review ECOs for content completeness, bill of materials structure, internal/external customer impact, organizational impact, and functional product impact.
  • •Estimate manufacturing costs and determine time standards; recommend tooling and process requirements using DfX principles to improve quality and reduce costs.
  • •Analyze root cause and corrective actions for issues arising during assembly and/or test, and evaluate/route ECR/ECO impacts to determine stakeholders and update ECO documentation status.

Key Requirements

  • •B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial engineering.
  • •5–8 years of experience in engineering change management or manufacturing/assembly and test support.
  • •Knowledge of ECR (Engineering Change Request)/ECO (Engineering Change Order) processes, forms, instructions, and policies.
  • •Working knowledge of PLM/DB tools (Team Center Engineering) and PDM (SAP).
  • •Working knowledge of AutoCAD and UGNX, plus the ability to engage with suppliers on manufacturing process issues.
