Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and author airworthiness certification and conformance plans for developmental and production aircraft, supporting flight releases and type certification.
  • •Perform technical airworthiness planning, tracking, and verification in a digital environment, including developing and negotiating airworthiness bases of certification and means of compliance.
  • •Guide technical reviews across total system design, development, and test processes to support airworthiness compliance.
  • •Conduct analyses and requirements allocation with program engineers and customer representatives to translate requirements into criteria and derived requirements.
  • •Support airworthiness assessments, facilitate boards and risk assessments, and develop and maintain airworthiness activities connected to schedules, flight test point matrices, and risk tracking.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or an aviation-related engineering discipline.
  • •8+ years of airworthiness engineering experience.
  • •Experience establishing and maintaining relationships with DoW and FAA airworthiness authorities.
  • •Proven experience working DoW and FAA airworthiness processes across the life cycle of a developmental aircraft to achieve program completion.
  • •Experience developing and managing airworthiness plans and tracking airworthiness criteria, including for manned or UAS developmental military aircraft.
