Key Responsibilities

  • •Tooling Software Architecture: Design reusable, modular automation and analysis frameworks (typically Python-based) across product programs.
  • •Instrument & Fixture Control: Integrate bench instruments/fixtures using SCPI/VISA, serial, USB, GPIB, Ethernet; abstract device drivers for reuse.
  • •Embedded Fixture Firmware: Write/maintain firmware for MCU-based fixtures (bare-metal/RTOS) handling I/O, signals, and measurements.
  • •Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL): Build HIL/development rigs and integrate into CI pipelines for automated firmware regression tracking.
  • •Data Acquisition & Analysis: Capture, store, and surface measurement data via databases, dashboards, and analysis scripts.

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Embedded Systems, Computer Science, or an equivalent technical field.
  • •Proven test and automation experience building bench automation, HIL/development rigs, or characterization tooling for real hardware.
  • •Strong proficiency in Python automation (pytest or equivalent) and instrument control via SCPI/VISA.
  • •Embedded C/C++ on microcontrollers (ARM Cortex-M), bare-metal and RTOS (e.g., FreeRTOS, Zephyr).
  • •Hands-on hardware debugging with oscilloscopes/logic analyzers/JTAG-SWD and familiarity with SPI, I2C, UART, USB, CAN.
