Key Responsibilities

  • •Review project scope to determine applicable permits, including municipal building permits and regulatory approvals (e.g., wetlands/stream permitting, consultations, coastal zone development, and DOT/FAA-related permits).
  • •Develop or coordinate development of required environmental permits and manage progress against plans, performing risk assessment and mitigation.
  • •Verify project adherence to federal, state, and local environmental regulatory requirements and participate in project teams and planning/execution meetings.
  • •Represent clients at public or regulatory meetings and review/comment on proposed laws and regulations as they apply to company operations.
  • •Develop or oversee SWPPPs; conduct SWPPP inspections and oversee contracted inspectors or environmental monitors; manage mitigation/management plans and escalate issues as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Natural Resource Management, or a related sciences field.
  • •7+ years of experience obtaining regulatory permits with state, federal, and municipal agencies to meet project goals and execution schedules.
  • •Experience preparing, editing, and interpreting studies for certificates and other regulatory filings.
  • •Experience working in a team environment to site facilities in the energy sector while minimizing environmental, visual, and customer impacts.
  • •Must be authorized to work in the United States (or obtain work authorized status prior to start); eligible for employment visa sponsorship for qualified candidates.
