Job Summary

Consultant-level role in UK Rail Strategy and Feasibility. You will coordinate multi-disciplinary projects, develop rail-focused service offerings in light rail, freight, or local authorities, plan, manage and deliver tasks, and bid for new work while engaging with clients to build networks across WSP UK and globally. The role spans operational planning, strategic planning, business case development, and engineering feasibility to shape fundable projects.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide strategic rail advice to external and internal clients across multi-disciplinary projects.
•Take a central coordinating role on projects and contribute to planning, managing and delivering tasks for large schemes and bidding for new work.
•Develop rail-focused service offerings in areas such as light rail, freight, and local authorities.
•Engage with clients and build networks across the UK and global WSP communities to solve problems and generate new work.
•Demonstrate organizational and stakeholder management skills to plan, manage and deliver project delivery teams.

Key Requirements

•Extensive experience in light rail, freight or transport for local authorities with understanding of legislative and funding processes related to rail operations and scheme development.
•Understanding across rail areas such as operational planning, strategic planning, business case development and engineering feasibility.
•Ability to think strategically, see the big picture while maintaining attention to detail.
•Pro-active, collaborative professional with strong stakeholder management and bid/no-bid experience.
•Microsoft proficiency and professional qualifications or working towards them.
