Job Summary

Own the end-to-end lifecycle of customer-deployed POS hardware assets, ensuring asset data accuracy and operational rigor. Stand up and run RMA workflows for field-defective devices, triage QA failures, and drive vendor root-cause feedback into purchasing and engineering decisions. Manage asset transitions during the Hexnode to Esper migration, create troubleshooting playbooks for Tier 2/1 support, and help design fleet management tooling (including CMDB and guided troubleshooting).

Key Responsibilities

•Own the customer asset lifecycle end-to-end: deployment, swaps/replacements in the field, RMA, and end-of-life, ensuring asset data trustworthiness as the fleet scales.
•Stand up and run the RMA process for field-defective hardware, triaging QA failures and driving vendor root-cause discussions.
•Guide purchasing decisions for customer peripherals using field failure data to improve what hardware is bought and shipped.
•Drive completion of the Hexnode to Esper migration, including cleanup of devices stuck in transition states.
•Build troubleshooting playbooks enabling Tier 2 (and eventually Tier 1) support teams to resolve hardware issues without escalation.

Key Requirements

•3-4 years of relevant experience across IT asset management, hardware support engineering, MDM administration (Esper, Hexnode, Kandji, Jamf, or similar), field operations, or customer-facing IT for a hardware product.
•Hands-on experience with deployed hardware fleet realities: RMA workflows, vendor RCA conversations, reverse logistics, and asset data hygiene.
•Strong systems thinking to turn tribal-knowledge processes into repeatable, documented, measurable workflows.
•Ability to write high-quality troubleshooting playbooks that support Tier 2 and Tier 1 resolution without escalation.
•Comfort working as a peer with engineers and partnering with customer-facing teams to make their work easier.
