Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead project delivery for water EIA and flood risk, coordinating with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure high-quality outputs that meet requirements.
  • •Collaborate with WSP’s Sustainable Water Management and Earth & Environment teams to develop opportunities and prepare proposals.
  • •Manage projects effectively with attention to programme, budget and health & safety standards.
  • •Provide leadership to the water EIA and flood risk team and support office growth.
  • •Provide technical guidance, training and support to junior colleagues and contribute to growing the firm’s technical capability.

Key Requirements

  • •A degree in a relevant environmental, geographical, science or engineering discipline is essential.
  • •Chartered status with C.WEM, CEnv, CSci or CEng
  • •Experience in managing Water EIA, Flood Risk and Sustainable Drainage deliverables, with strong technical capability in at least one area
  • •Demonstrable experience leading technical inputs and teams for planning and permitting for major infrastructure projects (planning applications, DCO, environmental permits)
  • •Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a track record in managing client/stakeholder relationships
