Job Summary

Partner with TikTok business units across EMEA to build and maintain IP governance policies, internal SOPs, and training that protect user and right-holder experiences while minimizing IP risk. Investigate and resolve local high-impact IP disputes and incidents, monitor UK/EU legal and industry developments, and guide cross-functional implementation. Help manage external relationships with brands, regulators, and industry associations, and oversee outside counsel deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

•Support business units (e.g., TikTok Shop, TikTok UGC) in establishing and updating IP governance-related policies, education articles, internal SOPs, and tools/processes to improve user/right owner experience while minimizing IPR risk.
•Respond to, investigate, manage, and resolve local high-impact IP disputes or related incidents.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage external relationships with brands, industry associations, law enforcement, and government regulators, including participating in meetings and advising on talking points.
•Monitor local legal requirements, industry practices, and business developments, and provide guidance or lead cross-functional implementation.
•Support or drive global or regional legal projects promoting IP protection awareness and organize/provide IP training for internal colleagues.

Key Requirements

•Solid experience as an IP lawyer in a top law firm or in-house legal team.
•Qualified lawyer familiar with IP laws, rules, and regulations in the UK and EU and relevant best practices.
•Ability to build relationships and liaise effectively across internal and external teams on complex cross-functional matters.
•Ability to develop and execute project plans and ensure timely delivery of deliverables.
•Ability to identify risks and provide forward-looking solutions while thriving in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
