Job Summary

Experienced software engineer joining Anthropic’s Platform to build foundational primitives that accelerate product development. You’ll scope multi-month projects, make architectural decisions shaping how Anthropic scales, and partner with research to productize capabilities. You’ll work across Platform areas (Platform Acceleration, Service Infra, Multicloud, Auth & Identity, Connectivity, API Distributability, Platform Intelligence) to drive impact at scale.

Key Responsibilities

•Architect and optimize critical development infrastructure including dev environments, observability, and CI/CD pipelines to maximize developer productivity across Anthropic’s platform
•Build and maintain core infrastructure for services, deployment pipelines, and shared libraries to enable scalable, reliable product services
•Support multi-cloud operations with cloud-agnostic tooling and cross-region deployments
•Develop and maintain identity and authentication infrastructure (OAuth, RBAC, SSO) and ensure enterprise-grade security and reliability
•Collaborate with research and product teams to design and ship platform capabilities used by internal and external engineers

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 405,000 - 485,000 annually

Key Requirements

•8-10+ years of practical full-stack engineering experience, ideally with 2+ years operating at a Staff or equivalent technical leadership level
•Led the design and delivery of complex, consumer or B2B user-facing products across the full stack
•Technical expert in modern frontend and backend development, with demonstrated depth in key languages and frameworks (e.g., React, TypeScript)
•Product-focused approach to building robust, scalable, and easy-to-use solutions
•Experience in early start-up or fast-moving environments, building products from 0 to 1 and mentoring peers
•Experience establishing engineering standards, component architectures, and development best practices
