Job Summary

Own highly integrated electromechanical battery hardware for micro-mobility systems across the full product lifecycle—from concept and prototyping through production launch. You’ll design and integrate battery pack components (enclosures, busbars, cooling, PCBAs, connectors, HV interfaces, and structural elements), lead 2D drawing and tolerance strategy for complex 3D assemblies, and partner with suppliers/CMs to ramp scalable manufacturing while solving mechanical, thermal, and electrical issues.

Key Responsibilities

•Own complex battery subassemblies or full systems from concept to prototype, validation, and production launch.
•Design and integrate battery pack hardware including enclosures, busbars, cooling systems, PCBAs, connectors, HV interfaces, and structural components while balancing constraints.
•Own top-level assemblies, tolerance strategy, 2D drawings, and engineering release of complex 3D assemblies.
•Down-select concepts through first-principles analysis and hands-on prototyping with tight test-iterate loops from mockups to production CAD.
•Design for scalable manufacturing and partner with suppliers/CMs on tooling, process development, assembly strategy, and production ramp; root-cause manufacturing and field issues across domains.

Key Requirements

•BS in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
•Ability to bound thermal, structural, and electrical problems using first-principles and back-of-envelope calcs before simulation.
•Proven track record designing and releasing complex electromechanical products from concept through production.
•Fluency with advanced 3D modeling software (CATIA V6 / 3DX preferred) and ability to produce production-quality 2D drawings with rigorous GD&T.
•Manufacturing process knowledge (e.g., welding, stamping, molding, fasteners, adhesives, TIMs, mechanical joining) with DFM/DFA instincts.
