Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain QMS records, audit schedules, and safety policies aligned to BRCGS, HACCP, and UK/EU food regulations.
  • •Own supplier governance: onboarding, audits, certifications, and technical approvals for co-manufacturers and ingredient suppliers.
  • •Manage finished product and packaging specifications, including artwork labelling accuracy and retailer technical portal administration.
  • •Lead allergen control and compliance, including allergen risk assessments, co-packer line clearance, clean-down protocols, and matrix management.
  • •Oversee verification and testing (microbiological/chemical/sensory, shelf-life, nutritional verification, CoA) and run recalls/crisis response with traceability and CAPA for NCRs and complaints.

Key Requirements

  • •2–5 years’ experience in food, beverage, dietary supplements, or fast-moving consumer health.
  • •Working knowledge of HACCP principles and compliance frameworks such as BRCGS, SALSA, GFSI, and ISO.
  • •Experience reviewing lab data (CoAs, micro testing, shelf-life studies) and writing product specifications.
  • •Understanding of UK/EU allergen labelling laws and experience auditing allergen controls and cleaning validation at third-party facilities.
  • •Hands-on traceability or recall experience, including conducting traceability audits and executing mock or live recalls.
