Key Responsibilities

  • •Contribute to technical design by analyzing technical application requirements with senior engineers.
  • •Convert solutions for small to medium initiatives into low-level designs and working code.
  • •Write secure, optimized code using approved coding standards and adhere to Emirates Group IT standards/playbooks.
  • •Ensure built-in quality through 100% unit testing in the CI/CD pipeline, analyze/fix defects, and minimize code rework.
  • •Implement logging and monitoring hooks and participate in rotational on-call to resolve production issues within SLAs.

Key Requirements

  • •Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Computational Mathematics, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering.
  • •Minimum 3 years of experience in Backend Application Development, primarily in Java (versions 8+) with microservices capability.
  • •Experience with back end technologies including Django, REST Framework, GraphQL, restQL, Solace, Gunicorn, and NGINX.
  • •Experience with data engineering/big data frameworks including Apache Beam, Apache Spark, Apache Flink, Apache Airflow, and Ray.
  • •Experience with automation testing and quality/standards such as PyTest, SonarQube, and PEP8, plus monitoring/observability using Dynatrace.
