Job Summary

Partner with the Technical Program Management team to discover, analyze, propose, plan, and deliver tooling-enabled opportunities for Thumbtack’s internal tools (business applications infrastructure). You’ll translate business needs into structured requirements and technical specs, evaluate solution alternatives (including new tools/AI), and support execution with UAT and change management—while helping shape the BSA function from day one.

Key Responsibilities

•Investigate data, process, system, and infrastructure to identify transformative technology-enabled opportunities.
•Analyze top opportunities, define requirements, evaluate solution alternatives (including tools/tech/innovations and POCs), and document findings.
•Propose project recommendations with costs/benefits, scope/effort, risks and dependencies, and other key considerations.
•Translate approved recommendations and inbound requests into detailed requirements, technical specs (including workflow diagrams/system designs), and measurable goals.
•Execute and iterate on plans by tracking progress, resolving issues, supporting UAT/change management, and documenting learnings.

Key Requirements

•5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar hybrid role at the intersection of technology and operational excellence.
•Advanced analytical and technical problem-solving skills to translate business needs into structured requirements and functional/technical specs.
•Experience transforming business processes and solutions using advanced technology, including generative and agentic AI.
•Strong collaboration and communication skills to translate between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
•Hands-on experience with Salesforce, contact centers (e.g. Genesys), SaaS integrations, and interpreting data models/APIs.
